Perhaps no event on the Jewish calendar is celebrated as widely as the Pesach Seder. Even the most assimilated of Jews gather on this night to commemorate the exodus and redemption of the Jewish people from their enslavement in the land of Egypt. It was on this night that we became Am Yisroel and began the journey through the desert to receive the Torah at Har Sinai and then, ultimately, to Eretz Yisroel in order to serve Hashem and perform all his mitzvos. The Seder is in a question and answer format. Many of the laws and customs of the Seder are done simply to prompt the children to ask questions and, in turn, to seek answers. The ultimate answer to all of the questions asked on Seder night is that we do all that we do because Hashem gave us the Torah and commanded us to perform his Mitzvos. Although this recording merely scratches the surface of the Pesach Seder, it serves as an educational tool to teach our children about the Seder and to prepare them for this auspicious night with wonderful songs.
