The letter of Torah is written to R’ Bunim’s son, Moshe, head of the synagogue in Hamburg. The great Rabbi Akiva would consult with R’ Bunim in Jewish law matters (R’ Akiva quotes his brother in his seforim). R’ Bunim was the one who organized the marriage of the Chasam Sofer with the daughter of Rabbi Akiva Eiger. He was the father in law of Rav Shlomo Zalman Ullman, the “Yerioth Shlomo”.
