2 Shiurim dealing with the 4 Tzomos (fast days) and Hilchos Tishah B'Av, by Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik.
"Included in this volume are two Shiurim dealing with the 4 Tzomos (fast days) and Hilchos Tishah B'Av. They were delivered by Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik Zt"l, in 1968 and 1980, respectively. In transcribing the latter Shiur, I have provided extensive insights by the Rav gleaned from his other written and oral Shiurim. I have relied heavily on the Shiurim contained in the Mesorah publications as well as on Rabbi Hershel Schachter's, Shlita, transcription of a series of Shiurim on Tishah B'Av delivered by the Rav in 1963. Regrettably, this volume contains only a fraction of the Rav's numerous Chiddushim regarding Tishah B'Av delivered in his all day sessions held on each Tishah B'Av.
I have divided the Shiurim into numbered paragraphs, and provided them with appropriate headings. A Table of Contents of the headings is found at the beginning of this volume.
Since the Shiurim refer to the First and Fifth Chapters of the Rambam -Hilchos Ta'anis, I have appended those Chapters from the Judaic Archives CD-ROM. " -- B. David Shreiber (taken from the Preface to this volume)
